More social life than bicycling. Had an early ride this morning to Bergen, wind NW force 5 gusting to 7. Was going steady against the wind at 16km/h, and was stopped (if not dead in the tracks at least down to 8 km/h) by wind that may have been gusting to even stronger strength.
Got to Bergen eventually, with a quiet early morning ride along the local Yellow Brick Road. Was blown back to Alkmaar by the NW force 6, average speed back 32 km/h without really working the pedals. This is the last Preparations update. Tuesday morning I am off for Aix. Check out on the road from Tuesday 5th June. Weather forecast is not the best; weather may stabilise the first few days, but with a possible SW force 4 at least during Tuesday & Wednesday. See First Law. Forecast for later during the week is S, which hardly will be an improvement.
