26th June, N44°10 E5°8; Malaucène, mad dogs and Englishmen

Tue, Jun 26, 2001; by Udena Internet.

previous day - next day

All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

villageandthemountain: Malaucène and its rooftops beneath Mont Ventoux, one hot 26th June

Well, it is hot around these parts. Only Englishmen & women seen on bikes today, at least between noon and 4PM. Time to get to Aix and after that to the Med and swim. Watch this space for a possible quick finish tomorrow. Only half the reception committee will have arrived by then [best mans husband & daughters, not wife and best (wo)man]; but we'll drink the rest of the champagne somewhere along the bike tracks in Camargue when they turn up on Thursday.

I'll make some finishing touches to this web-site when we have settled in Salon de Provence after Friday, will stay there for a week. The Experiences part will be updated, and also a possible Camargue section about bicycling in the Rhone delta may be added.

Hei Inge,

Turn the heat off ;-)

Don't forget to photograph Mont Ventoux. What about showing it on the 'themountain' page?

And enjoy the green surroundings in the Luberon. Congratulations if you made it to Aix today.
